Room 202; Sunday Afternoon [12/29].
Dec. 29th, 2024 10:21 amEleanor had gone back home as soon as her classes were finished, but it was hardly a relaxing or festive time. It still felt a little odd to her, actually going home for breaks, when she'd spent most of her life wasting away in the dull stretch of time between semesters as one of the few students who stayed over the holidays, and going home wasn't a time to rest, either. Not when there was so much work to do with the new house, and going through whatever they ould find to help with their finaces and everything with Rhys and making good with the new villagers. Most of Eleanor's break had been spent nudging into the holiday festivities of other people, getting to know them and, even more importantly, getting to know their wants and needs and desires, so that she, like her grandmother before her, could anticipate all those things and conveniently have a nice, easy solution to hand over before they could even open their mouths to ask for it.
A lot harder to do, though, when she was away for school. Luma was insisting that she stay, but Eleanor was insisting that she should at least finish out her last semester. And she also insisted that, even if classes didn't start for a while, she wanted to be back New Years Eve, and Luma rolled her eyes so hard that Eleanor was sure they'd roll right out of her skull.
Eleanor could only be so lucky; she was sure she could find something useful to make out of a good pair of werewolf eyes.
But she was back now, with a few days to spare, and it felt good to be back. She missed this place and she missed her girlfriend and her friends and she missed just having some time to herself, which was why she was just planning on spending the rest of today just enjoying the peace and quiet of her room, where she didn't have to think about the big shoes waiting for her to fill back home. She put on some records, took a few moments to set up the new drakondia sprouts she'd brought, and then just flopped onto her bed on her back with a relieved sigh. If it were warmer, she might have gone out to go for a swim, but this wasn't a half-bad option to decompress after a long few weeks, either.
