Room 202; Sunday Afternoon [12/29].
Eleanor had gone back home as soon as her classes were finished, but it was hardly a relaxing or festive time. It still felt a little odd to her, actually going home for breaks, when she'd spent most of her life wasting away in the dull stretch of time between semesters as one of the few students who stayed over the holidays, and going home wasn't a time to rest, either. Not when there was so much work to do with the new house, and going through whatever they ould find to help with their finaces and everything with Rhys and making good with the new villagers. Most of Eleanor's break had been spent nudging into the holiday festivities of other people, getting to know them and, even more importantly, getting to know their wants and needs and desires, so that she, like her grandmother before her, could anticipate all those things and conveniently have a nice, easy solution to hand over before they could even open their mouths to ask for it.
A lot harder to do, though, when she was away for school. Luma was insisting that she stay, but Eleanor was insisting that she should at least finish out her last semester. And she also insisted that, even if classes didn't start for a while, she wanted to be back New Years Eve, and Luma rolled her eyes so hard that Eleanor was sure they'd roll right out of her skull.
Eleanor could only be so lucky; she was sure she could find something useful to make out of a good pair of werewolf eyes.
But she was back now, with a few days to spare, and it felt good to be back. She missed this place and she missed her girlfriend and her friends and she missed just having some time to herself, which was why she was just planning on spending the rest of today just enjoying the peace and quiet of her room, where she didn't have to think about the big shoes waiting for her to fill back home. She put on some records, took a few moments to set up the new drakondia sprouts she'd brought, and then just flopped onto her bed on her back with a relieved sigh. If it were warmer, she might have gone out to go for a swim, but this wasn't a half-bad option to decompress after a long few weeks, either.

"Welcome back," she said as she paused outside Eleanor's door, holding an armful of pilfered snacks from a common room. Sometimes you needed fuel while doing marathon reading sessions.
"Did you have a good break?"

"Would you like to come in?" she offered, with a gesture in at the several seats or even the other empty bed in the room. "How was yours?"

She smiled and held up her armload of goodies as she perched on the edge of the other bed. "Could I interest you in a snack? I certainly don't need all of it."

There was more than a little envy in her voice; the most reading she'd done was trying to decipher old journals of her grandmother's that her aunt managed to keep and her 'field notes' about the new town where they were settling.

If you had no responsibilities to say, a werewolf family, at least.
"It will be good for me to actually speak to someone! And not eat all the snacks myself." Which she would do even if she regretted it later.

"A bit of everything I found in the cupboards," she said. "Cookies and candy and..."
She shrugged. "I think that box is a cereal that's more sugar than anything else? And poptarts." Of course.

She was happy to start tearing into a pouch of the strawberry ones, though.

"There are always plenty. I like the cinnamon ones, myself. But I can't be bothered with heating them. I like them right out of the package. I do wonder where all the foods in those cupboards come from."

And not prune. Certainly not prune whip.

"I think it was just so we'd appreciate when we had real snacks and candies more," Eleanor admitted, sounding almost a little fond of that distant past life. "And when we went out for ice cream sometimes, too."

"I hope the ice cream wasn't prune flavored too!"
Mmm, prune whip sundaes! "I know it's been chillier but I do still love ice cream."
She would not love prune whip on ice cream.
